We stayed here as a base for exploring the south coast. |Travelodge as a brand need to put some money into this hotel, exterior and community areas. |It appeared that it had recently had a lick of paint in the rooms and new carpet etc. |It's in an OK area considering the more south you go the more remote it is. |The staff are lovely which is a bonus. ||The room itself was big, warm and comfortable but nobody has cleaned the toilet and we were overwhelmed with the smell of urine, which I ended up cleaning myself and it was covered. Under the toilet lid, under the seat, at the back, the basin underneath, the wall. ||Which surprised me as somebody else room who was being cleaned smelt of bleach. ||The carpark is busy and has no lighting at night, this appears broken. ||I would recommend for those who are stopping over.

Convenient location within walking distance to The Stonehorse pub. Quiet location and garage including shop plus burger King and Greg's next door. Two floors but no lift.

I wouldn't normally rate a chain like a Travelodge because they're very much same same but different but I felt like this needed one. I booked here last minute as I couldn't quite reach my final destination due to snow. I booked because it was the cheapest, local option at £62 for the night and just off the A303 so I didn't need to navigate snowy roads. I wasn't expecting much at that price point or being off an A road however I was definitely pleasantly surprised. I've stayed in some awful Travelodges before and this was certainly better than most. Don't be expecting a 5 star hotel, it was still quite old school and in need of a bit of modernisation but it was clean (didn't smell!), well equipped, the friendliness of staff was that you'd expect of high end hotels and the stay was effortless. If in need, don't knock it!

I had a one night stay in a double rom in this hotel (Saturday night).||The hotel itself and the room were very clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was brilliant white and immaculately cleaned this stay was less that £50||Absolutely fantastic value.

Quiet, comfortable hotel.||Situated as part of service area with Burger King and Greggs on site as well as Shell garage.||Rooms clean but dated - new refit needed soon.||Friendly staff on arrival and departure.||Plenty of parking available but shared with main restaurants so may be difficult in summer season.

Easy to find with BK, garage and Greggs near by.
We ate at the stone masons pub which was nice enough with small park for the kids .

The hotel is in desperate need of attention.
Tired decor. Bed wasn’t very comfortable. We found chocolate buttons from previous people on the floor and it was all just a bit grubby.
The staff are so friendly and really a great asset to the hotel. The young girl was hugely helpful sorted out WiFi for us.
Rooms were quiet and we all got a good nights sleep.
For a base and the price it was fine.
