Unfortunately there is not 1 positive thing I can say about these muppets.

Despite the fact during COVID they had the swings in the park padlocked up, heaven forbid that outdoor air in a village being bad for children!

Trying to get hold of someone with common sense - better chance of finding hens teeth and better odds with having Jimmy Saville look after your children.

Seriously, why do they think they are above the law. Make a Subject Access Request under the Data Protection Act, 2 weeks later I get a letter saying thanks for the letter, we've noted the complaint and may respond in the next 20 days.

It's been 2 years, according to the law it must be completed within 30 days.

Council tax - the numpty likes to point out you have to pay it. The numpty also states the council can take this money and do nothing with it - they don't actually have to provide the services which they send you the bill for. That letter you get in March saying we're going to charge you more this year and in return we'll pay for police, fire, cut the grass, collect your bins, provide leisure facilities etc. apparently according to numpty - that's fake.

If for whatever reason you decide to obtain summons for the magistrates court over council tax arrears (maybe some paperwork in the office to corrispond address and person is correct aside); could you actually turn up please.

It's rather frustrating attending with the paperwork (which your employees seem to not understand anything else other than "you must pay the amount") to sit and wait for you to forget to be here!

If however someone from the council reads this and just maybe have a brain to think maybe there is something wrong, please, by all means give me a call so we can sort it out.

Discrimination against mental health. If you are going to need to deal with HDC and have mental health, take a strong advocate because they will eat you alive. The problem goes to the top with a complaint not even being looked into.
Due to advocating I've dealt with various agencies and HDC are known for how ruthless they are.

I genuinely don't have an issue with most people at HDC, they're usually great. However, a letter was sent to my address with the wording "Did you know HDC only receive 8p for every pound of council tax?"

Sorry, is it my problem you outsourced half the work dealing with council tax to Milton Keynes? Is it my fault that due to mad expenditure in unnecessary places that my bins go once a fortnight and they're always a mess? Should I take responsibility for the homeless too?

That is a disgusting way to address the residents. They didn't make the decisions that led to this underfunding, you did. Fix it.

On the other hand, Vicky in refuse was kind and informative. She had my new bin keys hand delivered. The FAS Team who deal with finances for vulnerable people are INCREDIBLE. Their work is surely overlooked and shouldn't be.

Overall 3 stars - Incredulous condescending management running good hard working people into the ground by putting them against all odds and against the entire town they work for. I have respect for those unsung heroes doing their best in a poorly managed environment.

What an awful and backwards council. I pay the council tax for a three bed property, like many on my street, however, I’m not entitled to a large refuse bin as I don’t have more than five people living at the property. If you’re giving me half a bin, I should not have to pay the full price!
There’s only so much one can recycle.

Parking Services don't seem to answer emails. I tried to re new my residents parking permit over the phone and was told I had to email them to which I had no response! I chased and chased, and in the interim my permit expired and I received a parking penalty notice. I voiced my concerns on email and on the phone about their lack of efficiency. They then sent me a permit with the wrong registration!

Ordered bins and paid £60 roughly 2 months ago still no sign of them, called the council 4 times and 3 times promised a call back but nothing.

First of all paying for council bins I thought was cheeky but what is worse is the service I have received since.

I do not have the time to keep chasing my bins and the time we have to spend going to the tip is just becoming a nuisance
