Called in an afternoon while on a boat.
No carvery day but the food we ordered was lovely .
Really lovely lady served us came over for a chat and a fuss with the dogs .
The open fire was much appreciated as there was a rain storm that day .
Lots of work being do e to take the paint from the old wood and bringing it back to life .
Fab place to just relax and eat or just have a drink.

Had a really delicious dinner here, we had 4 small plates for £12 which is such a good deal given the location and size and quality! The menu had definitely improved since the last time we were here
£20 for mooring is a little excessive but you do get it back from eating so it's not a massive problem!
The child play area was great for our 2 year old and everywhere was dog friendly as well. Overall will be coming back!

Enjoyed a nice meal here and it was quite busy. You have to pay for mooring but it is refunded off food so that is fair enough. I think the pub could do with a tidy up though, some minor maintenance tasks would improve it

Riverside pub. Great place for kids with arcade area, outside pool table..... keeps them occupied for more relaxing. Haven't tried the food. Lots of birds are about to keep you entertained, but try not to feed them too much (not great for them).
Good beers and kids drinks.
You can moor your boat right outside as well. There is a charge for overnight, I think.

Sadly, not feeling very welcoming for a group of seven males with a stag do like aura. Instantly turned away for "walk-in buffet" by staff and management with contradicting reasons juggling between food management and table availability that didn't appear to be truthful - maybe to be helped towards a more family orientated atmosphere. We were directed towards buying from the Main Menu instead, whilst looking at empty tables and absent queues for plenty of available buffet food.
£4 for small bowls of Chips - this could be cheaper.
Aside from the negative experience on this visit, the Bar staff are very polite and courteous.

We picked this place because of the small plates menu and we were not disappointed. It is four plates for £12 (four for the price of three). They were all very well cooked and tasty. My only comment would be that the presentation was a bit basic, apart from the brie on toast with cranberry compote which came with a small dressed side salad. The pub is dog friendly and the staff were very welcoming

Great pub serving typical pub grub. Right on the river Bure with plenty of tables outside and big inside. Friendly clientel and live music some nights, you can sit either near or far from the band so it suits all tastes. The Pork Tomahawk on special was the best I've ever had, and at £22 with a garlic mash and green beans was a bargain considering I'm used to London prices. This would have been in the region of £45 in the West End. Cant fault staff or venue.

Despite roadworks we manged to find our way here for lunch. We received a friendly welcome with an explanation of the recovery from the flooding earlier this year. Two of us ordered the pie of the day and the other person had the gammon steak. The pies were steak and ale and cooked to perfection, the pastry just melted in the mouth and the generous filling was delicious. Undoubtably the best pie we have had from a pub restaurant. The gammon was also perfect and served with generous helping of veg. We will definitely be returning once the roadworks are over and would highly recommend going there for lunch.
