Visited last week and delighted to discover that there is a new post master and counter manager, and now open regular hours Monday to Friday 9-5. Natalie processed the return of my parcels and had such a friendly, helpful and professional manner, so good to have this facility serving the community so well.

Have attempted to take parcels here twice in the last couple of months to find the post office section within the shop closed. Why does it say it’s open online? This needs updating. Last time I bother with New Mill Post office. The lady running the newsagents is not too friendly either when you ask if the post office bit is open. Maybe she’s fed up of telling people.

Terrible opening times, and I’ve been there during opening times for the counter to be just closed. Something needs to be sorted at that place as it’s not even a functioning post office

This business is incredibly infuriating because the opening hours on their Google Business page don't align with the shop's actual opening hours. I constantly waste my time driving there, only to discover that the post office is consistently closed for various reasons. Then I'm informed that it will only be open at some arbitrary time between 9 am and 1 pm on the following day. This is certainly not a suitable way to operate a post office.

I have consistently attempted to visit the New Mill Post Office, relying on the hours provided on Google, but have been frustrated to find that it was consistently closed during the times listed online. This discrepancy between the posted hours and the actual operating hours has caused significant inconvenience and wasted time. This used to be a well run post office. But since the Howard's retired it has gone down hill considerably.
The pharmacy has taken over most of the shop.
When I went in today 4th September 2023 the lady behind the counter was very off hand with customers. It is as if she does not like doing her job.
No friendly smile when you go in. There was a man asking for a 1st class stamp for an ordinary envelope and she wanted to know what was in it. Nothing to do with her. It wasn't a parcel that would have had something dangerous inside.
I have lived in New Mill nearly 40yrs and used the post office regularly but I will not be going in again.
I can get money out of the Co-Op cash machine next door.
