The M6 has always been toll free.
The M6 services have always treated it as a toll road.
Example 1 litre of unleaded £1.619.
The price away from the motorway is £1.319.
Always make sure your car has enough fuel to avoid this. Take your own sandwiches and a drink as this price difference occurs across the board.

Not a bad service station if you want to make a quick stop. I mainly use it for the toilet and to stretch my legs on the way to a football match with Stafford Rangers. Good thing about this place is there is a McDonald’s and a costa coffee. Only negative thing (which I didn’t get a picture of) is the foot bridge between North Bound & South Bound has not be touched since the 1970’s could do with a lick of red paint putting all over it Would come back here again but definitely prefer Knutsford no offence intended though ?

Not a bad motorway services, toilets were very clean and overall it was a tidy services. Not the largest food selection, but the queues weren't too bad. The tables were clean and the bins weren't overflowing so that was a plus compared to 50% of motorway services at the moment. The shop wasn't super expensive, it had a couple of self check out service tills, but when they were full a staff member opened up a proper till which was nice!

Again, pretty much the same as the southbound services here. Pretty clean, decent choice of food and drink and plenty of parking. Only giving it three stars due to the furnishings being tired and not sufficient staff cleaning the place on this day.

"Stopped here for a quick break and was pleasantly surprised! The facilities were clean, and there was a great selection of food options. Met a staff Jeevan, he was friendly and attentive, making it a great experience overall. Will definitely stop here again on future trips!"

Plenty of parking available.
There's a bridge to cross the carriageway too if needed.
BP fuel available. Prices are currently average.
The inside area of shops isn't particularly large, but adequate.
Toilets were clean.
Fruit machine area.
Small outside eating area with picnic tables.
Do be aware that if you need to park for more than 2 hours you will need to pay.
Instructions of how can be found on a post..
I've also taken a picture of them for you.
There are electric charging points, but not very many at all.
Ok for a quick stop.

Very basic small service station with limited services available. There's a McDonalds but the Costa was under construction as of Jan 2024. Ok rest stop if you're desperate.

This is a sad motorway services. Looks like it was built in the 60s and, concessions aside, barely touched since.

The bridge over the M6 is a thing of wonder and terror. Concrete and fibreglass, it evokes the terrifying shopping precincts of days gone by. Were it anywhere but over a motorway, it’s where muggers would lurk.

Inside, once past the broken door, this is a crowded and compact space - eating to the left, toilets to the right. Even WHSmith is small - there’s barely room to get past the staff chatting to their mates.

McDonald’s is the anchor; draws the people like moths to a flame. Weirdly, there is also Coco Di Mama - didn’t that use to be posh? I’ve never thought of coming to a motorway services for an activated charcoal croissant… ?

Not one I’ll be back to.
