Easily one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Miles of soft golden sand, all spotlessly clean. Fast disappearing and desperately in need of some sea defences.

Lovely beach, good parking, unfortunately the public toilets are ancient and we're filthy. Otherwise the food and beachware, beach toy facilities at the entrance to the beach are fine.

Lovely huge beach, lots of stones but are sandy areas too. It's shame to see where the houses were and what may be next. Hopefully they will get the sea breakers they need!

Love this sandy beach but please be careful, the tide can come right up to the eroding dunes and frequently does. Access is down a soft steep sand 'ramp' which also erodes with the tide.

The village is what you would expect from a seaside holiday park. Lots of chalets, amusement arcades, shops with niknaks and buckets and spades. There is crazy golf and a small go-kart track and a "giant" slide and fast food with donuts and burgers and slushies etc.
Think back to 1980s beach entertainment and you won't be far wrong.

Lifeguards on the beach most days and Hemsby Lifeboat station at the top of the ramp

Watch out for strong currents if you are sea swimming rather than paddling.

The Richardson car park on the main street to the beach offers an hour's free parking and number plate recognition with a pay before you leave system that you need to know your number plate for! Down by the beach it is £2 per hour or £6 for the day.

No toilets open on the day we visited

First time ive been back to Hemsby since the sea has taken so much beach and cliffs away.
Yes its sad to see that the lifeboat station is almost on the beach. I was surprised when i got on the beach around midday how wide it seemed. Lovely to walk along in the sun today.

Lovely beach. Very safe for children as there is a bank of sand that makes a pool of water when tide is out.
