A really lovely home. It's like staying with tasteful friends. We made reservations just that afternoon when realizing we would need a place for the night. Excellent hosts and a good value. A breakfast made to order awaits you in the morning. I surprised the hosts by requesting an egg-white only scramble, which they'd never heard of it. But they did it and everything was lovely. Would love to come back and finish the conversations!

Very comfortable and clean place to stay, friendly hosts, especially enjoyed breakfast with the other guests in a beautiful room with garden view. Attractive and peaceful location with lots to explore on the doorstep. An easy walk to a very good local pub.

We were made to feel very welcome by our friendly hosts. We had a very comfortable bedroom that had all our needs, the tasty breakfasts were served in a gorgeous, modern room overlooking the garden. The pretty village of Hemingford Grey had a lovely community vibe, with great local pubs and picturesque walks along the canal. Thank you for the most relaxing stay.

Found this gem of a guest house near St Ives in Cambs. Stewart and Nicky our hosts were fantastic and extremely welcoming and we were made to feel more like old friends than paying guests. If we could score out of 10 we would give them a 20+. Can't wait to go back for a second visit. Their local knowledge and points of interest were excellent and very helpful. One of the best places we have ever stayed.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of May, brilliant timing as the weather was fantastic so we got to sit out in the garden which is very peaceful & pretty.|Beautiful house, lovely room (Room 2) with a great ensuite. Plenty of parking on the driveway. Very reasonable price for a delicious & healthy cooked breakfast in the mornings, served at a time to suit us. ||Stewart & Nicky were very friendly and we had some nice conversations with them. Stewart kindly offered some suggestions of places to eat, drink & visit whilst we were staying.

Loved it! Very comfortable room, very friendly hosts, a great location: beautiful walk round the Hemingfords & St Ives right on the doorstep, easy access to Cambridge by bicycle car or the wonderful busway. Would certainly stay here again.

We stayed at the Thorpe with two other couples and had a most relaxing time. We were all made extremely welcome by our hosts Stewart and Nicki. We all had lovely bedrooms with en-suites. Our breakfasts were individually prepared (no doubt as my wife and I were always later than everyone else!) and were great. Nothing seemed too much trouble for S & N and they gave us lots of advice about what to do and where to go. They even told us about a tribute concert of Fleetwood Mac in Ely cathedral which we went to and enjoyed.|It’s a great location to explore the area and an interesting 50 minute ‘busway’ trip into Cambridge £2!).||We will certainly return when we have an opportunity and thank you S & N for everything.
