Hemingford Grey ancient meadow is part of a working farm which is grazed by sheep from August to February and left to grow for a hay crop from March to July. It is NOT a nature reserve but has a public footpath (Right of Way) across the southern side from Meadow Lane to the Dolphin Hotel. The path around the northern (river) side is a permissive path only. The views of the wooded north bank of the Ouse and the town of St Ives are renowned.
