Absolutely excellent. You could not get a nicer place to stay and the host/owner was really welcoming, helpful and friendly. |It is a beautiful, tranquil location with lovely gardens. The whole place is very comfortable and spacious and done to the highest standard. The large sitting-living room made us wish we were spending longer there - it was well-equipped with board games and large comfy sofas, obviously suitable for a larger group than just us two. We only spent one night there as we were walking Hadrian's Wall but would happily return. Really good value for the price. |The photo on TripAdvisor shows the single beds looking a bit narrow but they are normal size and perfectly comfortable. |We ordered a vegetarian and vegan evening meal in advance, and they were first class. A really great place to stay.

My husband and I had a lovely night at Hadrian’s barn. It is a beautiful, spacious, clean, and well stocked room. The natural light is stunning. Plenty of hot water. Netflix on the TV. It was all so nice. We pre ordered dinner so it would be ready when we arrived. My husband had the Indian curry and it was fantastic. Spicy and just the way it should be. I had lasagna and it was also delicious with a nice salad. The self serving breakfast was wonderful and we had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly. We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. It was quiet so we sleep very well. Highly recommend.

"Hadrian's Barn?" More like "Hadrian's Luxury Retreat." A gorgeous space, beautifully decorated, awash in light and tranquility and surrounded by lush gardens and landscaping. We were very warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. The space was very clean, with wonderful attention to details such as luxury bath products, WiFi, Netflix and a great selection of board games. It's so peaceful! The place is just a short walk from the road, but you never hear it. Dinner and breakfast were provided, and both were very good. ||A wonderful place for a good night's sleep and a great start to the next day. Lovely hosts, to boot. ||I'd give Hadrian's Barn 10 out of five stars if I could. Highly recommended.

Great stay along our walk along Hadrian's Wall! Everything about the barn was lovely from the food provided for breakfast/lunch to the couch where we relaxed after a 14 mile walk. We were pleasantly surprised that we were able to head out the back the next morning to pop back on the Hadrian's Wall path. Thank you for the hospitality!

A wonderful oasis after a hard day walking Hadrian's Wall and very close to the path. Staying in a beautiful lodge with extremely friendly hosts. I would highly recommend this stay, We took advantage of a BBQ with plenty of good quality food.

Stayed as part of a Hadrian's Wall hike. This was the fourth "BnB" that we stayed in and would classify this as an AirB.

We arrived ahead of schedule, and room hadn't been fully set up. Met the host, who is chatty and nice.
Accommodation is good size, clean enough, and easy to get to if you are doing the walk. Bedroom has two single beds, which did come as a bit of a surprise. Shower is electric and ok (soaps are just on the shower floor, should be on the wall), there is a TV with Netflix etc.

It was cold that night and the fuses to the radiators had been switched off, I am sure a call could have resolved, but seems odd to have these off at the fuseboard not the switch.

Breakfast was a onion flan, a block of brie and some ham (all bought from Lidl. Given the area, I wish places would try and supply local. Surely possible.

There is bread and cereal too, along with crisps, chocolate and some fruit. This same food would have been the "packed lunch".
Didn't really want the same food for lunch.
(We never received the orange juice or a key to the room)

The place seems ok, but in comparison to the other BnB's stayed at, the pricing didn't sit well. Other locations along the route provided full breakfasts (cooked & cereal/fruits/jams etc) and true packed lunches (home made sandwiches etc) for the same price.

Host seems great and other reviews complimentary so can only assume we had an off day.

A wonderful stop after a tough and wet walk from Chollerford. A cosy living area, lovely to have a fridge and make our own breakfast and really comfortable beds. A great stay. Thank you 🙂

Stayed for one night on the penultimate day of our Hadrian's Wall walk. Had not expected such smart accommodation for a "barn". Lesley and Andrew were super hosts and the evening meal was very welcome. Thank you.
