Had to attend the Arriva depot @ Heckmondwike to find out what was happening with 271 service along it's route with the unannounced closure of White Lee and Carlinghow lane for 3 weekend days in a row

Just avoid a company. They never on time. If they early on bus stop they dont wait. Monthly im wating average 10 hours extra. No wonder no one wants work for them

The last bus 261 bus mention to be Heckmondwike and I have seen it says on Huddersfield bus times table on the on the bus borad and it says upper heaten and it shouldn't be saying that

Buses 229 are not reliable however 254 thrives and has not yet disappointed the Heckmondwike route......A lot needs to be done on the 229 service from Leeds to Huddersfield, it inconveniences a lot as it either delays or abruptly cancels

Absolutely shocking service. 3 times this week my bus (the 06:12 201 to Leeds from Morley Hembrigg Park) has failed to show up. Twice Monday and Tuesday was cancelled, and on Friday it said it was operating but never showed at my stop. Sick of contacting Arriva's online complaints department and getting the same pre-scripted response and getting told to fill in the same online form. No way of contacting the depot directly to deal with the people who actually operate this joke of a bus service

Arriva buses should change their name to "maybe Arrive buses" My immediate family and I have had many numerous journeys delayed of up to 19 minutes or cancelled altogether, compunded with a change of schedule with upto 2 hours between buses from around the Batley area (212) after having nunerous weeks on total strike causing havoc for people trying to get to work on time. The idiot school bus driver operated by Arriva told ALL the kids to get off the bus until the Police would come upto an hour for 2 girls simply messing about. 11 year old kids having to walk nearly 2 miles to get home when my step daughter had paid and was not involved and the bus passing them eventually but did not stop to pick any of 20+ kids walking to get them home. Customer services are useless and send an apology and excuses days later and do not care whatso ever. Disgusting, unreliable bus service that deserve the contract taking off them permanently. Are you listening WY Mayor Tracy Brabin? Low fares are no good if the bloody buses don't run on time or get cancelled at the drop of a hat and don't get you where you need to get to.
I would give 0 stars if it was possible.
Update 17/10/23 Arriva still are unreliable, late or cancelled after 1 year later, buses mostly late on our 283 bus at 6.21 am and often miss connecting bus!!! No traffic at 06.21 am just incompetent management and drivers that don't and unable to come close to a timetable. Customers services still reading their excuses from a repetitive script with no improvement.
Totally Embarrassing bus service with buses old, cold, usb points dont work if they have them.
Response to Arriva. I did complain and guess what......
Excuses, excuses and more excuses and absolutely no interest in making it right.

Appalling service from this depot on 571 Service, services are regularly cancelled without notice and have been ever since they started operating this service! Now we are told that because of gas works in Southowram we are not going to have any service to our village for an unspecified time! As our village is on top of one of West Yorkshires highest hills this means many people will be trapped in the village until they decide to resume our service!!!!
