Lovely clean room (No4). only negative was the bathroom door, it folds, but needs a handle on the inside so user can close it behind them, my husband had to push the door shut and there was a gap all around the door. bedside shelf, very small. Otherwise a comfortable stay, would definitely stay again.

Excellent room and facilities. Proper coffee and biscuits in the room. Good sized room and the bed was super comfy. The pub for both dinner and breakfast was excellent and I highly recommend a stay here. The staff deserve an extra shout out for being attentive and welcoming. Thank you.

Had my wife's birthday here (oct 24) and did the party package. It was fantastic, Claire and the team took care of it all and this made it do strss free. The guests and wife had so much fun. We had guests stay over and they were very happy with the accommodation and breakfast in the morning was great.

Really recommended, charming venue, happy staff and great food.

Drove over an hour to meet here with friends for dinner on a Monday night.
Called ahead to enquire about vegan options and when we got there, the chef had created a full vegan menu with over 6 mains and starters!
Really appreciated this service, they went above and beyond and so unusual to find this in pubs .
We had the bean chili, mango salad and burger & chips from the vegan choices which were all amazing. Burger was wholefood, home made and really tasty.
We felt very welcome and could enjoy a nice evening with other non-vegans (who's meals were also top notch) and didn't feel like we were a nuisance as it's so often the case.

The room was clean and tidy. The bed was so comfy, we really enjoyed our two night stay. The staff were friendly and answered any questions we had. The area is quiet and relaxing, and me & my partner spent most afternoons and evenings as the pub.

Stumbled across The Duke’s on a drive… great decision to have lunch.

The staff are super friendly and genuinely seem happy in their job. The food is great and nice selection of beers. Will be back next time we are in the area.

Stayed here 2 nights from a voucher. But had to spend an extra £60 to stay over Saturday. So essentially cost £160, not including breakfast. So not massively cheap considering the quality. Right the room. Number 1. Bed was ridiculously creaky and the pillows lumpy, simply put, they need replacing. The shower was Luke warm at best, and with no shower curtain, the floor was consistently wet. The tatty heater worked but just brought the room down. Just needs some tlc. The pub itself was lovely and tried to book an evening meal, but they had a function on the one night, so went elsewhere. The one morning we had breakfast, which didn't start to 10am. We had a full English and veggy breakfast @ £10 each including tea was very reasonable and cooked very nice.
