I’m a parent of three children and all of then have hated this school. I’m absolutely disgusted with the fact children can’t go to the toilet when they need too. My son had an upset stomach but was refused permission by his maths teacher and when he did get permission a teacher ended up banging on the door demanding his name! I’m absolutely appalled. As an adult I have never had a job where I can’t go for the toilet when I need to or have my boss bang on the door during such a private moment!

This school is a state. It depletes mental health even though its said to help. They make most of the students stressed out about homework and assignments. My sisters friend has broke down into tears and nothing was done. Avoid at all costs unless you want to feel like garbage every day you go home. They do NOTHING to help mental health. I personally can not see how they got outstanding on the ofsted. If you want to honest truth ask random students

If you have a choice (which you probably don't) don't send your kids here. Good teachers have left in their droves every term because of bad, inconsistent management. Other teachers leave a lot to be desired, I question their qualifications. Education over 1st lockdown was non existent and barely improved with the 2nd.

Absolutely shocking school!! Teachers wonder why the children don’t respect them but they are constantly giving out stupid behaviour points my daughter tapped her pen and she lost 10 mins of her lunch and they phoned me!! Don’t recommend this school one bit daily fights, drugs and poor teaching!

You will probably know that Okehampton College got an Outstanding in their Ofsted report and I would like to have a look at the criteria that they apparently fulfilled in order to get that 'outstanding'. In the report it says that the students 'are enthusiastic about coming to the college and feel happy and safe there.' Where on earth did they get this from!? If this was true then how come there are so many students who have left because of bad mental health issues due to them having some horrible teachers, massive amounts of stress and people being bullied constantly by other students! 'Students say there is little bullying' this is obviously wrong, as I just said many students have left the school because they have been bullied so much. People have tried to stop it but it hasn't worked the College claims that they would do their best to help their students but as I have seen by what happened to my friend they obviously don't try at all or they just have bad methods.
I recommend that you stay as far away from this College as you possibly can because it will ruin yours or your child's mental health and to be honest your mental health is way more important then grades, if you have to destroy your mental health in order to actually do well at this college then it obviously isn't a good college.

Moved our son from his previous school which was failing immensely, he has severe dyslexia, Oke SENCo has been amazing! And offered him so much help and support academically and emotionally way beyond my expectations. Even though funding has been cut for SEN across all schools they really work their butts off to support their students in every way possible plus more.
It was really a game changer moving him here, although he is loathed to admit it he actually seems to enjoy school on occasion.

This school is horrible, somehow they manage to ruin the students attitude, and give too much homework, which stress out all the kids. And also seem to ruin the education. DO. NOT. SEND. YOUR. CHILD. HERE. Please
